From Paris to Lausanne, Lausanne to Cheateau de Chillon
I am not understanding what I read in RS book on how to get to Chateau de Chilion from Lausanne. 3 adults and 4 children want to tour Chateau de Chillon. Do we take a boat or train? I know you can do either but here is my question: The RS book states the faster, more frequent Direct Train to Monteux 4 hr, 20 min and then get on a bus to Chateau de Chillon or hike 2 miles..The boat scenic route is 1.5 hours from Lausanne to Chateau de Chillion? We are traveling from Paris by train to Lausanne 4 hr. If you have gone either route can you please advise us? Thank you.

I did Chillon on a tour so don't have any experience getting there by other means, but here's a website you can try that seems to answer your questions.

It seems to me that the scenic boat across the lake would be an excellent option increasing the sightseeing possibilities.
I think the kids will like Chillon, very interesting.
