My family and I were in France for 2wks.
Followed great advice. Each took 1 bag. We were not approached by scam artists, not pickpocketed, and a spanish tourist had to ask me if I spoke french or english since he couldn't tell if that I was American since my voice was quiet and I tried to use as many french words as I could.
What a compliment.
