I suggest you go to the DB website and research your options.

Here is the German Rail site. http://www.bahn.com/i/view/USA/en/index.shtml Lander Tickets - Germany http://www.bahn.de/i/view/GBR/en/prices/germany/regional-offers-overview.shtml?dbkanal_007=L04_S02_D002_KIN0001_at7-regioangebote_LZ001 Just play around with it in order to learn how to use it. Buy ticket from Venice in Italy. http://www.trenitalia.com/cms/v/index.jsp?vgnextoid=c79686605528a110VgnVCM1000003f16f90aRCRD Learn how to use the sites for timetables and cost.

I was researching going to Murren from Venice or Rome. Decided I was squeezing too much into my vacation and dropped my time in Switzerland thought. I will just say it is not a straight shot to get to Murren. You will have to make 3-4 train changes as I recall. As others said, best advice for researching trains is to use bahn.com. Even if you have to book the ticket on another site like treinitalia, db is going to be the easiest and most understandible listing of European trains.

Tina, As the others have said, the Deutsche Bahn (German rail) website will provide all the information you need. If you want to pre-purchase tickets (I don't usually bother), you'll likely have to do that using the rail websites of each country. On each of the routes you mentioned, there will a number of departures each day, having different travel times, number of changes, etc. By using the bahn.de website, you'll be able to determine which train to use on each route. One important point to note is that many cities have more than one station, so it's important to know the appropriate station when you're buying tickets. These are the trains I'd use on the routes you listed: > Venice to Mürren. Train departing Venezia S. Lucia at 07:50, arriving Interlaken Ost at 14:28 (time 6H:38M, 2 changes in Milano and Spiez, reservations compulsory on the first two legs). When you arrive at Interlaken, buy a ticket to Mürren. Board the small Berner Oberland train to Lauterbrunnen. When you arrive there, walk across the street to the Cable Car for the short trip to Grütschalp. Disembark and transfer to the small mountain railway, which will take you to Mürren. > Mürren to Munich. Reverse the trip from Mürren to Interlaken Ost. Train departing Interlaken Ost at 08:00, arriving Munich at 15:11 (time 7H:11M, 1 change in Karlsruhe, reservations compulsory on second leg). > Munich to Prague. Train departing Munich HBf at 09:01, arriving Praha hl.n at 14:51 (time 5H:50M, direct). I can't remember the station layout in Munich, but that train departs from Track 23 according to the website. It's relatively easy to find the information, but you'll have to decide which train best fits your preferences. Cheers!
