Bad Hotel in London
Because of a change in plans we wanted to extend our stay at Morgan House in London, which we found in Rick's book, but were unable to due to lack of room. We found another recommendation by Rick and made reservations at the New England Hotel nearby. We arrived early so our room was not ready, left our luggage and went out for the day. When we got back and went to our room we found it to be extremely DIRTY, the only clean things were the sheets, towels and the bathroom. The bedspread, blanket, carpet, curtains (grey not white) drapes, were filthy. We had already paid so moving was not an option. We have been travelling for years using hotel, B & B referrals from Rick and never had a bad one so this was a shock. If you have made a reservation at the New England Hotel, move somewhere else (Morgan House was GREAT) This Hotel should be removed from Rick's travel books, it is not in the same league as other hotels he has recommended
