What is the best way to spend a day in Slovenia? Will be in port 8-6. thanks

The most popular options are:
Lake Bled with an add on like Bohinj, Vintgar Gorge, Skofja Loka or Ljubljana
Postojna Caves\Predjama Castle with Ljubljana
Lipica and Skocjan Caves
Lipica, Wine\Prosciutto\OliveOil tasting in Karst and Istria plus tour of Piran
You can also make your own itinerary any way you like it as long as it fits in with the time!

Judy, we did a ship excursion that included a walking tour of Koper and then a tour of and free time in Ljubljana. They are both really neat towns. TC
if you dock in koper you can visit its old town and bus to piran. that's about enough for your 1 day visit, don't try to get to LJU or Bled, you don't have time.

In reply to David, not sure why he thinks you cant get to Ljubljana or Bled, they are the most popular day tours off the cruise tours!!!
Leaving at 0815 you reach Bled at about 1030 and can have about 2-3 hours there before seeing Ljubljana for a couple of hours and reaching Koper at 1700.
But yes, you can spend the day at Piran. It's very nice.
