Zagreb to Slovenia - Itinerary Suggestions?
We will be traveling from Zagreb to Slovenia in late September for a three night stay before moving on to Trieste. We can rent a carthough we were thinking of using buses and trains in Slovenia.
Places we wanted to see include: Lake Bled and Lake Bohinj and the Postojna Cave.
Which itinerary makes more sense?
1. Day 1: Travel from Zagreb to Bled in one day; stay overnight in Bled {Friday Night};
2. Day 2: Hike in morning; Travel to Ljublijana in late afternoon; walk the City center; stay overnight {Saturday Night}
3. Day 3: Day trip from Ljublijana to Postojna Cave; stay overnight in Ljublijana {Sunday Night}
4: Day 4: Depart for Trieste {Monday morning}.
or
1. Day 1: Travel from Zagreb to Ljubljana; stay overnight{Friday Night};
2. Day 2: Day trip to Lake Bled; stay overnight in Ljublijana {Saturday Night}
3. Day 3: Day trip from Ljublijana to Postojna Cave; stay overnight in Ljublijana {Sunday Night}
4: Day 4: Depart for Trieste

I like the first one. I've stayed overnight in both Ljubljana and Bled and enjoyed both.
