16 days in Germany Cont'd

I know some get the jet lag. Not me. It is when I get home that it hits me. 4.5 that day would of been fine but it turns out to be close to 8 hours. This trip was special. My wife was showing off her new pair of knees. Man the doctors are really special people. No problems she walked us to death. Why did the trip take 8 hours. Easy, we stopped in Erfurt Germany to looks and see and somehow the GPS was switched into the spanish language. We had a heck of a time and decided to follow the signage. Not a great idea. Ended up in out in the oountry with no where to go. It took a lovely lady who knew about the same amount of English as I know German to get us on the right track and out to the highway. We love those moments and will never forget it. We stayed at the NH Hotel in Dresden a fine business hotel booked thru booking.com. A McDonalds across the street. You know where we eat dinner that night.

Hey Michael, here's a tip for formatting... rather than starting two new threads, it's easier for us to follow if you respond to your own post.
