Barcelona to France

Can anyone suggest a trip from Barcelona, Spain to a nice town near the French border. We have about three days to spend there before returning to Barcelona. We will be taking this trip in early Summer 2013.

Yes, in France just north of the border, Collioure would be a great choice. I was there last October and enjoyed it. The beach is rocky rather than sandy. I had a car, but I believe it is easy to reach by train.

We have been there, and it is easily reached by train. Hopefully, you can be there on a Sunday when the market is. It is one our favorite places anywhere.

We went to Carcassone from Barcelona and loved it. It was an amazing little town.
