Traveling from Munich to Venice
My husband and I are having difficulty figuring out exactly how to get from Munich to Venice this December. We've looked into taking a train but haven't found anything about a specific train company online or if a route even exists. Flights are another option that's appealing but are in the 120 Euro range per passenger. I'm just hoping to receive some clarity.

Use the German Rail (Bahn) website to get schedules and purchase tickets.
There are five EuroCity trains per day from Munich to Verona, from which there are many Italian express and regional trains to Venice. One of the ECs to Verona each day goes on to Venice. With sufficient advance purchase, you can get a fare from Munich to Venice for 39€.
New BAHN schedules will be out mid October - right now you can only book up until Dec 8. We are flying into Munich, spending night and taking train (hopefully still 7:30 am) to Verona (5 and a half hours). We will spend night there and then take train (about hour 15 min) on to Venice.

Munich to Venice is a long haul...I would fly this route. Munich airport is very nice and the subway system will take you easily from the center of Munich (Marienplatz) all the way inside the airport. It really doesn't get much easier. Venice's Marco Polo is just a quick jaunt to Venice Island with many different transportation choices...all fairly easy.
I've even flown from Munich into Venice Treviso Airport on EasyJet. It was no problem as the buses are waiting on passengers at the airport to transport you quickly and comfortably to Piazzale Roma where, again, you can choose either vaporetto or water taxi...whatever you want.
I've flown Air Dolomiti, EasyJet and maybe AirBerlin(?) between Munich and Venice.
