travel in Italy
I would like to travel from Assisi to Lake Garda, stay for two days and then on to Venice, what is the best and fastest way to go ( train or bus). Thank you Louisa ps Is San Gimgianao a day trip or a great place to stay also?

Louisa, post in "To the Boot" for more responses on travel in Italy. You can take a bus (or from some towns on Lake Garda a train) to Verona and from there you have a choice of trains from fast to regional.
San Gimignano is usually a daytrip because it's so close to Florence, but you can find overnight accommodations there - it's full of tourists during the day but is very romantic at night.
