Four weeks visiting Sporades Islands: Skopelos, Alonisos, Skiathos. Also Meteora and Vergina on mainland. Wonderful time. Tenth trip to Greece. Don't be put off by alarmist media reports. Typical Greek hospitality: warm, friendly and thoughtful. Flew Copenhagen to Skiathos via Vienna. Great beaches on each island. Stayed at moderately priced (45-50 euro) family-owned studio apartments with a/c and kitchenettes. Much snorkeling. Some hiking. A little kayaking. Excellent meals at beachfront tavernas. Peaceful, relaxing holiday. All were very appreciative of our patronage. Your Greek cousins will be happy to see you.

Sounds wonderful, hope to do a trip like that one day myself. Last time I was in Greece was 1985 and I loved it!
