Getting to Matera from Potenza

I have consulted Lonely Planet and do not find much information about getting to
Matera from Potenza. Will be spending some time on the Amalfi Coast and would like to take the train from Salerno to Potenza and catch the bus to Matera from there. Anyone with current bus information?

Rachele, memories flood back! I tried to get to Matera through Potenza from Tropea (what was I thinking), and missed every one of my four connections because the first train was 10 minutes late! Be sure that you do not take the last bus to Matera, just in case something goes wrong. (I ended up hiring a driver that the barista recommended at the last train station of the journey.) If you don't already have accommodations in Matera, there's a great little (only 3 rooms) B&B called Donna Eleonora B&B, it's just a staircase away from the main road to the sassi. The two sisters who own it bring in fresh breakfast goodies every morning, and will help you with guides, etc.
