Prague Pension Recommendation

My wife and I live in Vienna and are going to Prague for the weekend. Can anyone recommend a good pension near the old town. Nothing expensive or fancy, but clean and a good value. Must have a bathroom in the room and a good breakfast in the morning.

Thanks,

Dirk

Hotel Hastal is a 5 minute walk to Old Town. Has a good breakfast and good restaurant.

U Semika is close to the amazing fortress and park grounds of Vysehrad. Good breakfast buffet and a lot of the rooms have a good view of the massive walls of Vysehrad. Our room was on the top floor (there is a lift in the building) and had garret windows that afforded a great view of the fortress and the skyline. Plenty of good, cheap restaurants and potravinys (convenience stores) in the neighborhood and it's a 2 minute walk downhill to the Vltava River.

Dirk,

I'd highly recommend the Green Garland Pension, which is in the old town and only a few minutes walk from the Charles Bridge. The rooms are somewhat basic (no TV) but very clean and comfortable, and the staff were wonderful.

Happy travels!

I second the Green Garland, where we spent four night in May, 2010. My wife and I recommend it highly.
