Siena in April

We will be in Siena the beginning of April with a car. Anyone have any ideas for day trips? We are not interested in wine tastings but open to anything else!!

There's the walled city of Monteriggione a few kilometers from Siena, very small and walkable in about half a day. You could drive to Arezzo, Pienza, Cortona - it would help to know what your interests are. Most towns near Siena have lots of medieval history as well as natural beauty along the way.

We just spent a lovely day in Volterra as a day trip from Siena. It wasn't too difficult to get there by bus. If you have a car even better.
