Health/Travel Insurance
Hello, we will be quitting our jobs and will be traveling 4ish months in Europe and another month in the US before we resume our job search. What would be the best short term or long term health plans to cover us for emergencies as well as incidental medical appointments if needed while overseas or once we get back? We will start the trip next September. Thank you!

I use Travel Guard.
Check out www.insuremytrip.com or www.squaremouth.com. There you can compare lots of companies/policies at once and find just the coverage you need without paying for things that you don't. Make sure whatever plan you choose includes med evac coverage.
A&A, not directly answering your question, just a reminder to arrange your visas ahead of time... For a long stay visa you will need to start now.
If you want to take advantage of the Schengen visa waiver program you are limited to 90 days in any 180 within the Schengen area.
Nigel thanks! We plan to spend the first six weeks or so in the UK to avoid the problem.
