Things to do in Feltre

My husband and I will be in Feltre next week for three days (Tues-Thurs). What are your recommendations for things to do and see in that town? We will not have access to a car.

Debbie,

That's a town I've never seen in any Guidebooks. The only suggestion I can make is to have a look at the "Main Sights" on This Website.

It will probably be quite "chilly" in the evenings. I was in the Dolomites in September, and that was certainly the case at that time.

Happy travels!

Temperatures forecast in the upper 60s next week during the day. Low 50s at night.

Feltre is not that high in altitude, it sits down in a valley, but if you hike up the dolomites be ready for chillier weather in the mornings and evenings. But I know cool weather wouldn't scare someone from Alaska anyhow.

Those links are probably the best info you're going to find, although I did find one more: Wikitravel on Feltre

Don't expect a lot of support for tourism in Feltre. I went to the massively popular TripAdvisor forum to see what's there. (They divide the board up into subtopics by region and city/town.) There was exactly ONE entry about Feltre - a question from March 2011. No one responded.

It would be interesting to know how you've ended in Feltre for three days.

Hi Debbie, Though I've never been to Feltre, I am quite familiar with the surrounding area. My DK Eyewitness Travel book on Venice & the Veneto says that Feltre has a 'striking Piazza Maggiore where it is possible to see the remains of Feltre's medieval castle, the church of San Rocco..." It's a tiny town, but should have a tourism office. I would recommend visiting nearby towns (Vittorio Veneto: very small half-day trip, but be sure to visit medieval Seravalle which is right next to it; and towns in the Dolomites such as Cortina d'Ampezzo, Misurina (beautiful lake)
