Buying a train ticket in Spain for December

I've been trying to purchase a train ticket between Barcelona and Seville for December 17th on the AVE trains. I have checked the renfe.com site twice daily for over a month and it still is saying that no schedule is available for this time frame. Am I doing something wrong? Any help on this would be great?

Have you tried Barcelona to Madrid and Madrid to Seville? There is no direct connection so you need to have two legs.

Tried two leg approach and it still is telling me that there is no schedule available. I have looked back to the 15th of December and there are schedules available but not after the 15th of december.

What does bahn.de show? There is always a possibility that the schedules are not loaded but not likely this close to the travel date. But the fact that schedules are available on the 15th and not the 17th might lead me to believe that schedules are not loaded. I will go play with it.

Every one else is in the same boat (train :-).
It's a poor performance for updating schedules in some countries up and down Europe.

Briefly - winter schedules and updated prices (and summer schedules and prices) are changed or not and loaded every six months, around about early May and early November. All I am going to offer is if they have not been updated by Monday next, i.e. after the second Sunday in the month, (based on all previous years) - just too bad and keep monitoring.

Just keep checking every day. They will show up eventually, and by checking daily you will be able to pounce on the Web fares when they are posted.

Thanks for the input. I'll just keep checking their site and see what happens. Thanks again!
