Caveau de la Huchette

Next weekend I'm in Paris. We are tentatively planning on going to Caveau de la Huchette on Friday or Saturday night to catch some live jazz. Has anyone been? I've seen some fairly decent reviews on-line, but I'm wondering if any of our Paris experts have first hand experience. Thanks!

Since you haven't received a response yet, I'll chime in. But I am hardly a Paris expert. I've been to Paris several times and I've been to Caveau de la Huchette twice. And I am hoping you are referring to Nov 17-18, otherwise I guess I'm too late...

I had a very nice time at Caveau de la Huchette. It's a very fun and lively place. They were playing mostly swing and there was lots of dancing. It's a really fun place. You walk in to what appears like a bar. Just a bar and tables. You have to go downstairs and it looks like a cave. The only downside for me was that it gets kind of hot and stuffy downstaairs, so I had to go upstairs a couple of times to get air. But all-in-all it was a fun time and I will go there again.

Have fun!

Thanks! Exactly what I wanted to hear. Sounds like it is worth doing. I'm flying out on Thursday night, so your response was timely. Thanks again.
P.S. -- You do sound like a Paris expert!
