Are you bringing any new prizes David? Too bad no one got the prize from last month.

Maybe someone new will attend that would like that very useful prize David so kindly brought. If anyone who didn't attend last month is curious what that prize might be, you'll just have to come this month to see for yourself!

Hint - it is an item that is sold on this website. The only reason no one took it last month is we all have multiples of said item.

"The only reason no one took it last month is we all have multiples of said item."......Yes, I'm a little embarrassed about that fact, too ;-). And for all of the other multiples I own...(sigh). There's probably a pill or 12-step program for this 'problem'.

Ms Texas is very excited to look at a new picture book!!! I can't be bothered with words.

I'm planning on being there...a little change in plans ;-)

Sounds like that "mystery item" is not a bottle of limoncello. I know Andrea and Eileen would not have worried about a multiplicitly of that.

Well, I'm offended...and I have no idea what you're referring to ;-)

And... Gig 'em, Texas A&M!!! Anybody else watch the Texas A&M vs Alabama game?!?

And yes "it" will reappear at the November....meeting or until we get a newcomer- which every comes first. Hint- it is black and costs $19.95 or thereabouts..... AND if you have ever seen a Rick Steves TV show you have seen it.

Limoncello...had a big bottle of that in Rome in September...sorry didn't bring it back (like what am I gonna with an empty bottle). Maybe it is just me, but a bottle of limoncello...a nice warm evening with a slighty cooling breeze...sitting on a rooftop balcony overlooking the Vatican....just doesn't add up to that bottle making it back to the US full.

Actually, I'm been enjoying Limoncello ice desert from Sprouts. I don't think it contains alchohol. Also, I can't be sure that they even use Sorrento lemons.

I made limoncello with lemons from my Meyer lemon tree. It was pretty tasty...

"just doesn't add up to that bottle making it back to the US full."

That would indeed be a sin. Just bring home a photo of that empty bottle.

Wait - what's the topic of this thread?

Elaine changed the subject, while making what could be considered disparaging remarks about us. Or maybe she just knows us. ;-)

Disparaging? from me...about my limoncello buddies....never!!!

Yes Eileen - I saw every minute of the Aggies game. I know the high you have from that. My USC beat Alabama on 10/9/2010 - they were also ranked #1 at that time.

Let's have a limomcello toast to that!

Elaine, you know the scene from "Nat'l Lampoon's European Vacation" when the family is on the Eiffel Tower and Clark is so overwhelmed that he says he feels the urge to paint, or write (but just goes to les toilettes instead)? That was me on Saturday LOL! Perhaps you heard me in Columbia, 'coaching' from my house ;-) You really can't take me out anywhere! Too loud (shrugs). I call it 'spirited'.

Go Aggies!!!

Oh, ahem, still planning on being there on Sat...

Stacey-- Your more than welcome. You should be very proud of your daughters--very polite young ladies stuck sitting with a bunch of old folks for a couple of hours--they deserved the lunch on a cold rainy Saturday...

Finally! I missed the beginning of this seasons RS TV show and KVIE is not repeating shows (1st time in history). Anyway....I enjoy his videos but never before worried or cared about missing one. This new season (at least to me) Rick has taken a different approachMORE TIME spent on and IN the key sites..3 episodes on Rome, 2 on Florence, 2 on Venice (haven't seen those yet) and I'm findng much better interior photography-real travelogue pieces revisiting my favorite haunts.

So..why am I happy....although we have only aired 1/3 of the season here in Sacto..the entire season is on DVD already. AND at a substantial discount (1/2 off)....also, if I order enough of the DVD's I get free shipping.

Sooo... a few (or more) 2013 RS DVDs just might show up at the December Sacto meeting as presents...who will be attending....
