Provence full meal recommendations?

We will be in Provence for a week with a rental car. We are hoping to do 1 or 2 special set meals with 3 or 4 courses each. We prefer places that are not too fancy (or too pricey) but, of course, have great food. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated. Becky

Provence is a big area so it's impossible to give any recommendations. My advice is to get the Michelin Green Guide covering the places you'll visit. There is a guide for Provence and a separate guide for the Riviera/Cote d'Azur. I can also recommend the Michelin Restaurant app which is very handy. The guides and the app have recommendations for varying price ranges.

Not exactly in Provence but we loved Les Florets in Gigondas. Dinner was fabulous and the hotel has a beautiful setting above the wine tasting village-easy walk to the wine boutiques. It was worth adding a night to that area.

We like the Michelin green guides for sightseeing a lot, too. If you want only some restaurant recommendations, you can get that from viamichelin.com without buying either the green or red (restaurant and hotel) Michelin books.

The Logis hotels, a group of independently-owned hotels, often have good and reasonably priced fix-priced evening meals.

Coming in from Barcelona, we spent our first night in Provence in Avignon. We had a wonderful French provinical dinner at Piedoie, Rue des 3 Faucons, Avignon, France. About 70Euro plus wine. Most enjoyable.

My wife and I spent 10 days in Provence during our month in France. We had no bad meals but our exceptional ones were in Lourmarin (twice at Le Bistrot despite poor reviews on TripAdvisor, Gordes (Le Pause), Bonnieux (L'arome), and Vaison la Romaine (Auberge Anais just south of town). If you'd like more info, send p.m. We loved the area
