knightsbridge, new year's eve, U2 cover band

Looking for 1 night in a cheap hotel near knightsbridge tube stop. Anyone know anything about the Millennium Hotel or the Knightsbridge Green?
Also looking for fun on the cheap for New Year's eve.
And most importantly....anyone know of a U2 cover band that plays in London?
Thanks! Traveling in less than 1 month now- very excited!

Cheapest (i.e free), would be to go and see the NYE fireworks set off from/around the London Eye. It gets very busy - if you don't want to be in the centre, you get a good view from Primrose Hill. On NY Day there is a parade, also free.

No idea about U2 - you could try one of the listing websites like "londonears" or "timeout". I do know a joke about Bono, though, but probably not suitable for repeating here.

Cheap, London and Knightsbridge are not words I would put together. Knightsbridge is one of the more expensive neighborhoods in London. Try looking on the airbnb website. You can search by neighborhood.

Thanks- I know that are isn't cheap but we have our lodging free every other night.
