Valle D'Aosta lodging
In between hiking in Switzerland and biking in Piedmonte next September, my wife and I would like to relax somewhere in the Valle d'Aosta and stare at the Alps. I've been on TripAdvisor, but wonder if anyone has a favorite place that they would recommend? Anywhere in the Valley would work.

We stayed in Aosta proper a few years back and very much enjoyed the city. I can't recall the name of the small hotel, but there are plenty of hotels and B&Bs. Enjoy your trip.
to stare at the Alps, probably Courmayeur is the best.
Saint Vincent or nearby Chatillon are also great choices.
Aosta is a bigger town with a nice old city center.
Wherever you stay, when you are tired of staring at the mountain, consider visiting some of the many castles in the valley. That's what the Val d'Aosta is famous for, besides the mountains.
