Chartres restoration Dec 2012?
We with be in Paris 12/21 til New Year's morning. We want to do one day trip (besides Versailles) and would like to keep it pretty simple.
Has any one been to Chartres in the last few weeks? What is the status on the cathedral's scaffolding and inaccessible areas, please?
And, in winter, was the town nice?
