Cinque Terre

Does anyone know what the status of the trails are? We are planning to go in May 2013.

At the present time, all four of the No. 2 (Sentiero Azzurro) trails are still closed, following the slide on the Via dell'Amore in September which injured four Australian tourists.

I expect that most (if not all) of them will be re-opened after tourist season starts on April 1st next year. However, it's too early to make any accurate predictions. I'd suggest checking again closer to the dates you'll be travelling.

If you go to RS Home Page and look under Today's News, there is an update
(don't know when it was updated) about CT.

The Cinque Terre update on the RS homepage says that the trails will remain closed until the spring of 2013.
