Scotland and Normandy

I'm planning a trip to Scotland and would like to go down into Normandy. I'm thinking about a day or 2 in London (but heard it's very expensive)and/or Paris. Any suggestions?

London and Paris are expensive but I am confused. You want to go down to Normandy, you do realize it is in France, not the UK or am I reading your question wrong?

Millie,

I agree with the previous reply in that some further information on your plans would be helpful.

Normandy is relatively easy to reach if staying in Paris, but it's not well suited as a day trip from Paris due to the travel times involved. Were you planning to stay a few days in Normandy, and what sights are you interested in seeing there?

Also, when are you planning to go to Scotland, and which cities are you planning to visit there?

Cheers!

Sorry for the confusion! Right now we're pretty open with our plans. A friend has a time share at the Moness Hotel Aberfeldy Perthshire so we will be there for a week. After that we thought we would head south for another 2 to 3 weeks. Neither of us has been to northern France but have heard it's beautiful and great to visit because of it's history (our fathers were in WWII, mine in the Pacific and her's in France). We thought about spending a couple of nights in London before going into France but not sure. We've just decided to go to Scotland last week so I thought we could chat with others about their adventures. Thanks for responding.
