Things to do in Amboise area
Found a train schedule that will get us to Amboise early enough to take a full day tour of the Chateaux. Spending the night in Amboise. Is there more to do in the area to warrant a second night before we head south? Has anyone taken the hot air balloon trip?

one day in Amboise to tour the Loire valley, well you will barely have time to scatch the surface of what there is to see and do in the area. Besides visiting the various Chateaus in the area, there is Clos Luc in Amboise, and various wine tasting places, there is the cute town itself to wander in..
I don't think you could run out of things to do or see.
We spent three days there the first time I visited, and it was great, there really are more then you think.. the chateaus are spread out, so seeing two a day is usually sufficent, although I realize some tours will do three.
