Italy

We plan to spend a month in Italy and would like to rent a house with 3 bedrooms. We are looking for something reasonably priced. We don't need a pool or other fancy accoutrements. Any suggestions for a reliable contact here or there?

Try homeaway.com. They're US-based (Texas) and have a large number of listings in Italy. Their website breaks the listings down by region. You can also put in price criteria.

www.Agriturismo.it/en is a web site that can get you into hundreds of farm apartments that are reasonably priced. Virtually every farm in Tuscany has rooms and apartments as secondary income.

AirBnB is another upcoming website that's showing very affordable accommodations.

Villas.com, Booking.com, Hotels.com also are good for rooms.

You will first need to figure out where you'd like to stay. The Chianti/Tuscany area south of Florence is very popular.

I would also suggest you look at Rick's Graffiti Wall for Heroic B&B's to see if any places mentioned will suit your needs.
