CT in late March

As part of a 2 week trip to Italy in March, my wife and I were planning to spend 2 nights in the CT in late March. Is this a good time to go to the CT?

For some of us any time is a good time to go to CT... March..you will gain few tourists, not sweltering hot, you still get to see the terrain and the villages and the beautiful Mediterranean Sea and you will probably have to trade off for cool to cold weather and some of the places not being open. If I were going to Italy and wanted to see it I would go. Never any guarantees, but it is still fun to see and probably much more like it was when it was still considered a 'back door'.

Greg,

Late March would probably be a reasonably good time to visit that area, although the weather may still be a bit "cool". One other point to mention is that not all of the hotels and other tourists facilities may be open. However many should be open as the "official" start of the tourist season is April 1st.

Whether the No. 2 trails will be open at that time remains to be seen. You'll just have to "play it by ear".

Happy travels!

We love that time of year, since far fewer visitors are there to share the trails.
