Walking to Mont St Michel

We will be in Normandy in July 2013 and would like to walk across the bay with a group/leader (We don't really like quick sand!) Does anyone have a group/organization to recommend? Thanks

There is a road that cars drive over, so I wouldn't worry about quicksand.

There indeed is a causeway, but that will not help when you are looking to walk around the bay. You are smart to look for a guide (surprising how quickly that water comes in and out). I don't have one specifically, but do remember that there is a visitors' office directly at the "entrance" to Mont St. Michel and they seemed to have this information. I think I also remember reading recommendations (or at least how to contact this visitors' office) in the Rick Steves' France guidebook. Maybe if no one has anything specific, Google search this office and give them a call. Or depending on when in the year you are going, you could probably wait until you get there. Make sure you stick around at night. Very beautiful and quiet.

Thanks, Maryam. I'll try the travel books and will google for the office. I'm hesitant to wait till we're there, as we always seem to "just miss" the last tour!

Didn't realize you wanted to walk around the bay, I thought you just wanted to get there... don't want to be responsible for you going into the quicksand:)))
