Public transport options - Quebec City airport (YQB) to Old Quebec

Every guidebook I read doesn't mention any other options for getting into View (Old) Quebec City from the Quebec airport - *except* for a $30 taxi ride. Has any one had success taking a bus? If so, which one(s) and how many transfers?

Thanks for your help!

Thanks. I did have the bus # 78 schedule in French but the missing gap is that it stops in some suburban station called Les Saules. I need to get to Old Quebec from there, so I'll try to look up each of the connections. I wish there was a less time consuming way to find this info.

I have found in the past one of the best sources for cheap transit options from the airport to town is the hostel website. The website for the hostel located in the old Quebec tells people to take a cab. If there was an alternative that was practical I would think that they would have suggest it. I use hostel in most cities I visit and have always found they provided the best transportation info.

The airport isn't very big (most arrive/depart from MTL), so it isn't served by great transportation. Especially with all the hills/stairs/cliffs in Vieux Quebec it is far easier to get a ride in rather than even haul around any luggage from a transit stop. I know$30 seems like a lot, but in this case it's worth it. Enjoy. Quebec City is amazing.
