Catching a cab from Rue Cler to Gare De Lyon

We are catching a train at Gare De Lyon and will be coming from a hotel in the Rue Cler area. Where is the best place to catch a cab around 5pm on a Sunday? Should I just book a shuttle? If so, what company is reliable and have good rates?

Do you not want to use the Metro?

Ask your hotel to call you a taxi.

The metro would be the cheapest option, but based on my readings; it can be a hassle if carrying a luggage due to stairs and lack of escalator/elevator when transferring. Is that true ? We will be towing two suitcases (22" and 19").

I was in the same boat last May in Paris. The metro from the Rue Cler to De Lyon requires a few changes; a pain with luggage. So a taxi would make things simpler. The hotel can easily arrange this.

We too were staying in the Rue Cler area and asked the hotel to call a taxi for us. It worked out great.

I've used the metro with luggage, but it would be more convenient to take a cab. Have your hotel call for it.

Taxi is well worth the money, and shouldn't cost too much anyway.

I will have our hotel arrange for a taxi then. Thanks everyone!
