Zagreb Croatia

We will be in Zagreb for 3 nights in June. I would welcome suggestions for day trips from this city and hotels. We are a family traveling with 4 adults and one 9 year old

We stayed at would recommend Hotel Dubrovnik, which overlooks the town square and is a snap to get to using public transit. How about Ljubljana for a day trip?

We spent three nights there in an apartment we rented from InZagreb. It was enormous and rented for about 125 per night. The company had quite a few units, the owners were really friendly, and I recommend them.

You should do Plitvice Lakes. World class park. Ljubljana is also wonderful.

Hi,
My wife and I, aged 60, are always on 'slow-down' mode. I would hang out in Zagreb for the three days. We stayed at the BUZZ hostel. Last I looked Zagreb lacks mid-priced hotels or other accommodations.
The castle district has a nice Naive artist gallery, oh and the Museum of Broken Relationships which my wife loved.
Make sure to eat several Civapi (a course ground hamburger type) and order a side of roasted red pepper. A great place for this is the mid-level patio between the fruit/veggy market and the underneath meat market.
