I always use the Ibis hotel (good rooms, reasonable price), but there is a lot of other choice. Just choose somewhere (price acceptable) on the Heathrow Hoppa route and it does not really make much difference where you stay (I'm assuming you have no car and want to be within the Heathrow "zone"). If you google H. Hoppa it will list all the hotels on route.

We've been happy with Jury's Inn when flying out early. It is near a tube stop, if that is important to you. The rooms were comfortable and quiet. The restaurant was not great for dinner, though.

As noted by another poster, all the hotels near the airport use the Hoppa Bus, so it doesn't really matter where the exact location is.

I am using the Premier Inn near Heathrow on Bath Road. Pretty good price.

For a real bargin, check out the Yotel. Small (very small) rooms, right in the airport- and they charge by the hour. You can eat and shop in the airport. And not have to worry about commuting there before your flight.

We stayed in the Premier Inn at Christmas, which was fine. There is a free bus from directly outside to Terminal 5.

The White Horse pub is about 5 minutes walk away so you can get out of the hotel environment.

If that is full - it's quite small - there is another pub about 3 minutes more walk and on the other side of the road.

there are a number of very large hotels on the "circuit' served by the Hotel Hoppa bus. tMost are large, reputable "chain' hotels. Pick a nmae you are comfortable with

Premier in is fabulous. If you are renting a car, and it is Enterprise, there is a gate right behind the care rental location which goes into the Premier parking lot.

I have stayed a couple of times at the Heathrow Lodge. They have a free shuttle from the airport and there are a couple of nice pubs nearby. It's not fancy but a good value for an overnight.
