TGV Strasbourg to CDG

Is it worth the little extra to go 1st. Class over 2nd. Class?
I have used the TGV on longer trips and have always used 1st. Class, but on this shorter trip would it be worth the little extra.
Never tried 2nd. Class.

I honestly don't know why anyone would use first class. Only people on expense account who have someone else paying for their ticket or on a railpass that requires them the go in first.

I agree with Sam. The only time I've ever rode 1st class on French trains was 1979, when I had a Eurailpass.

Here's The Man in Seat 61's take on first and second class on the TGV, complete with photos:

Hi,

Going from Strasbourg to CDG or even to Paris, better 1st class on the TGV than on the 2nd. You will see the difference. The reservation is that much more expensive.

Bill - Sometimes when you book on TGV-Europe you can find 1st class fares for as little as 10 € more than the 2nd class fare. In this case I would spring for the 1st class ticket.
