Options/farelocks on flights
I had not flown to the EU since 2011, and this time, when I was searching for flights, I noticied that several arlines let you "reserve" flights and prices for times like "7 days". Some even let your reserve specific seats. United let us reserve open jaw flights for as little as $16, KLM wanted to charge us $40. This was great when you were getting close to finding the "best deal", and needed the"Boss's" approval, but could get spendy if you placed options on lots of "great deals".
