Greece first week in October

Hi all, I am considering my second trip to Europe this fall. I have approximately October 1st to October 10th and I am wondering if Greece would be good at this time of year? The weather looks nice, I am just wondering if the ferries will all still be running and whether this is a good choice overall. Thanks!

As you say the weather is generally pretty good still in early October and it's a nice time to visit. In our experience places are still open at that time of the year and there is no problem.

There's a slight drop off in ferries at the end of September but there will still be plenty running.

Where were you thinking of going?

thanks for the response. I'm thinking of Athens for a few days, then picking just one or two islands, perhaps Mykonos and Santorini... but I haven't done much research yet.

Please keep in mind that it gets cold as soon as the sun goes down and not all places have central heating. Bring a sweater!!
