Renfe in April
I will soon want to book our AVE train from Barcelona to Madrid. I'm not finding any trains in April (well within the 60 day limit). Anyone know what's up with that? I've done some test bookings previously and it worked fine - they seem to have changed their website also.

Ok - seems to be working now - not sure what the deal was. The website has changed, though, so I'm having to figure it out again (I try to us the Spanish site).
Yes, they have changed their website, somebody posted about that awhile ago. The fare structure is different and it is not limited to 62 days out.
I don't see what trouble you are having. Just now I tried a ten-day period in April, April 11-21, and saw a full array of trains from Barcelona to Madrid every day, many with good Promo fares.
Did you start with the shopping cart icon? That is the way to go.
P.S. it is good to know the Spanish, but I found it works just as well in Englilsh (for buying tickets).
Karen, we'll be traveling from Barcelona to Madrid in April also, and I found that flying on Air Europe was much cheaper.
Promo fare from Barcelona to Madrd (or other way) is only 32 euros. Is flying cheaper than that?
It only takes 2.5 hours from city center to city center. No transport to the airport or long security lines and waiting time. It is hard for flying to beat that.
