Azores
I would like to surprise my husband with a trip to the Azores in Sept. I am interested in staying in a hotel for about 3 days, then a home rental for at least a week, maybe two. We would also be interested in visiting more than one island. Are there cruises around to the other islands? Do you have any recommendations for me in my planning?

The Azores are beautiful, Anita. There are some ferries between some of the islands, Faial and Pico, for instance. There are flights from San Miguel and Terceira to Faial and Santa Maria. You will have to research for your month of travel. Some quick answers are on Azores.com. A travel book we used, there weren't many, was Globetrotter's The Azores. Happy planning!
