I AM PLANNING A DRIVING TRIP THRU EASTERN EUROPE. I HAVE A CONCERN ON THE DRIVING TIME FROM DUBROVNIK TO SKOPJE TAKING THE ROUTE WHICH GOES ALMOST DUE EAST FROM DUBROVNIK. PLEASE INFORM ME OF MY CHOICE. IF THIS IS A SINGLE DAY DRIVE

Turn off the CAPS and switch to lower case when you post. It is much easier for people to read.
One website where you can check your driving routes in Europe is
viaMichelin.com
You can plug in your start and end and it will show you a recommended route and estimated driving time for that route.
I am not going to pretend to have an answer. You will be passing through some pretty dicey country. Google maps says 8 hours and they are generally pretty accurate when I have used them. By the way, when yo reach Spokje you will be something less than half way to Eastern Europe on most every map short of a 1960's CIA map. I would check the state department web sites for Albania and Macedonia for travel advisories.
I would get a GPS. I posted a response to your question under a different heading with more details.
