From Paris to CDG terminal 2

Hey guys,

So, my flight departs from CDG Terminal 2E at 10:35 on a Monday the morning; I want to be there for around 8:00, 8:30 at the LATEST. Which is the best way to do it? RER or taxi? (and how much IS the taxi, anyway?)

I'll be coming from the rue des Mauvais Garcons in the Marais.

Thanks muchly!

Anna

Anna, you really need to be at CDG 3 hours before your flight. As for best way, taxi is more comfortable, RER is cheaper. Your call. (Taxi will be €40 to €50, depending on the traffic.)

As norma says , easiest is taxi, but you could easily take the RER in,, it will cost about 10 euros and you can catch it from Chatelet Les Halles station, not sure how that is situated from your accomadation you'll have to check I would likley walk. Try to BE at CDG at least 2.5 hours ahead, three is better but I have made it several times at 2.5, but I don't do detax either, also if you are flying Airtransat they use a little terminal and security doesn't get as clogged up as it does as some of the other terminals.

3 hours...ah, good to know, thanks muchly. I did it last year with 2.5 I think and I was glad I had that! (Flying Air France)

In any case, it's looking like I might try the taxi, though I am fairly close to Chatelet...but if I want to be there for 7h30, taxi would be less of a hassle. I assume my hotel would have a number I could call...?

Ask your hotel to order a taxi the night before.

You might also ask your hotel about the bus. Fro example, there is one line to Orly (Orlybus) and I am pretty sure there is also a line to CDG. It is cheaper than taxi, regular, predictable, and comfortable. But, requires more time (30Min) for schedule, loading, and waiting. Definitely better than RER, and more cost effective than taxi. But what you don't pay in cash you may pay in time.....
They really are good buses though - straight shot to airport from Montparnasse and other locations.
Good luck.

We have had our hotel (the Le Littre) order taxis from their approved taxi service. We pay the drivers diretly to/from the airport or train station. We have done that for two trips and it has worked out fine with our luggage and schedules.
