Best way to get to Salzburd Aus from the USA?

Looking for quickest most efficient way to get to Salzburg. Seems flying into Munich and take train to Salzburg is quickest. Anybody have a better way?

Buy a 'Bayern Ticket' at the airport (single € 22, 2 people € 26, etc) & take the S-bahn #8 to the Munich Ost station. Catch a regional train from there to Salzburg. Heck of a deal......

Fly into Munich and train to Salzburg. You can also fly into Salzburg.
