Iceland-condition of golden circle road?
What is the condition of the road that connects the sites of the golden circle? Can a small rental car manage or does it need to be a 4wd?

Two years ago we did it by a tour bus. As I remember the road was all paved.
Well-paved, well-signed road. You can manage w/ regular rental car.
