Summer Tour Photo Contest Winners
Last summer we ran three "secret" tour photo contests as a fun little experiment — with the side benefit of improving our promotional photo archives. The contests were limited to a handful of specific Scotland, Scandinavia and Family Europe departures. You'll find our six winning photos below. Choosing the winners wasn't easy, as you can see from our Family Europe Finalists Slideshow.

Scandinavia 1st prize: Tom Taylor wins a $200 shopping spree in our Travel Store for his shot of Rosenborg Castle. Buildings can appear so cold and lifeless, yet Tom's composition and warm lighting make this old castle look young again. |

Scandinavia runner-up: Sheila Clapkin wins a "Rick Steves' Europe: All 43 Shows" DVD set for her photo of reflections in Bergen's harbor. The crisp lines of the city and the boats combine with the smooth, clear water to create a scene that's busy and peaceful all at once. |

Scotland 1st prize: Randy Ratzlaff wins a $200 shopping spree in our Travel Store for his shot of "the queen's view" near Loch Tummel. Perhaps this will help dispel the myth that Scotland's skies are ever stormy. Aye, there were no runners-up for Scotland. |
