Hi from Rick: Why not decide in December?

Want to see Europe in full bloom? Chances are better if you book in December.

Dear Traveler,

If you're reading this, it's because you've either already been on one of our tours (thank you!), or you're thinking about taking one in the future (thank you in advance!). Because of this, I hope you won't mind if give you some practical advice: decide in December.

If you're really not sure about where or when you want to travel next, don't rush into signing up for one of our tours. It's a big decision, and you shouldn't be pressured. Our monthly Tour News is designed to bring you lots of destination ideas. This month you'll find a special focus on Britain and Scotland; prize-winning tour member photos from Greece, Sicily, Spain and Portugal; and $300 savings on winter city tours. I hope that, at some point, your dream trip will practically leap from your computer screen.

On the other hand, if you're pretty sure where and when you'll want to travel with us in 2007, you be better off booking in December, rather than waiting until January. Our 100% deposit cancellation refund through 12/31 is one good reason, but the biggest reason is to beat the crowds.

January is always our biggest month for tour sign-ups (nearly 20% of the year's seats), and it's also the month when the most tour dates fill and close. If the beginning of 2007 is like 2006, by the end of January you'll have fewer tour dates to choose from — 17 fewer Best of Europe, eight fewer Venice-Flroence-Rome, six fewer Ireland, five fewer Paris and five fewer Best of Italy to name a few.

My tour guides and I love to help you beat the crowds to get the most out of your sightseeing in Europe...and I want to help you do the same when it comes to getting on our tours.

So if you're ready in December, make that refundable deposit to grab the date and tour that's best for you...and have one more reason to have a very happy holiday.

Rick
