Don't fear the euro: lock in your tour price!

| We can't lock in what you'll pay for snacks, but your guaranteed tour price — and all we include — lets you laugh at the big, bad euro. |
Rick's tours protect your pocketbook in other ways, too
- Your deposit guarantees your tour price
- No currency or fuel surcharges
- No group sightseeing charges
- No extra guide or driver tips
When you shop around for a 2008 tour, look carefully to see what other companies promise. Do they guarantee they won't add extra charges to your final tour payment?
When you make your deposit on a 2008 Rick Steves tour, your price is locked and guaranteed — with absolutely no add-on charges. Why is this good news for you?
Our tours make Europe more affordable by locking in your pre-paid costs, and dramatically cutting your out-of-pocket expenses. Let's assume the euro pushes closer to $1.60 by the time you arrive in Europe. Because our 2008 tour prices (set when the euro was at $1.35) are guaranteed, you are paying for your trip in stronger dollars than an independent traveler who lacks this option. Since your tour price covers the lion's share of your European expenses (hotels, transportation, group meals, sightseeing, admissions and guide services), your out-of-pocket travel budget won't be eaten away by the daily, extra-cost "optional excursions" and tips that other companies use to keep their "sticker prices" artificially low. On a 2008 Rick Steves tour, your only "euro expenses" will be for non-group meals, souvenirs and other personal items.
Due to recent changes in dollar-euro currency values affecting the cost of running our tours, we increased our prices on April 1, 2008. For the most current pricing, visit 2008 Tours on our website. We think you'll find our 2008 tours are still a great travel value.
