Italian Passeggiata
Back-to-back tours in Italy give you more evenings to stroll with the local passeggiata.

Design your own adventure...back to back

As flights to Europe get pricier, once you're there it makes sense to stay as long as you can, packing maximum travel thrills into each round-trip ticket. Many of our tours are 1 to 2 weeks long...but don't let that limit you!

We usually schedule our tours to begin or end on weekends, which makes it surprisingly easy to enjoy different tours back-to-back. Lots of people link two separate city tours together as a two-week vacation. But even for longer tours, this back-to-back approach is a great way to customize your vacation to suit your travel dreams. Here are just a few examples:

St. Petersburg, Tallinn & Helsinki + Scandinavia: This 23-day trip includes five capitals, six distinct cultures, and over 10 centuries of modern history along with some of the world's most stunning scenery and waterways.

England + Scotland: These tours do not overlap at all, and getting from London to Edinburgh is a snap. If you love Britain, this is 24 days of travel bliss.

Ireland + Scotland: No overlap here, either, and there are lots of flights between Dublin and Edinburgh. You can do this in 24 days as well.

England + Ireland: This will take you a month, but the historical insights and pub comparisons gained by experiencing these countries back-to-back are rich indeed.

Barcelona-Madrid + San Sebastián-Basque: Connecting our two newest tours results in a no-overlap, two-week tour of Spain's most independent regions and unforgettable food.

Italy + South Italy: The ultimate month-long Italian experience overlaps only in Rome, where our Best of Italy tour ends and our South Italy tour conveniently begins. If you have the time, this is a combo made in heaven.

Heart of Italy + South Italy: If you can swing 22 days or so, this is an excellent alternative to the combo described above, with the same Rome ending/starting link. But you'll need to save the north (Venice, Lake Como and the Dolomites) for another trip.

South Italy + Sicily: Also 22 days long, these tours meander through Italy south of Rome and provide an exciting combination of rich history, natural beauty and untamed energy.

Greece + Turkey: This month-long adventure immerses you in the legacy of Ancient Greece — and two cultures that are reluctant to admit how much they share in common. Not to mention plenty of sun.

Use your imagination. Because distances within Europe are relatively short and transportation options plentiful, many more of our 2009 Tours can be taken back-to-back. Play around with the possibilities. Where are your travel dreams taking you?
