Tour Members Rave about Summer Tours

Murren, Switzerland
"Arriving in Murren, Switzerland was like stepping into a postcard..."

Warm days, long evenings, and a festive air everywhere make summer touring in Europe a delight. It's not too late to nab a seat on some of our most popular summer tours — and several dates are discounted. Should you go? Take it from them...

"Although I enjoyed everything, my favorite day was on the island of Inishmore. It was a beautiful day, so my husband, our two daughters and I rode bikes with others on the tour to Dun Aenghus. As we were enjoying the beauty of the place, I remembered that my mother had once knit a sweater of the Aran design for our daughter when she was a baby — and here we were celebrating her birthday many years later. It was very poignant."

— Sandra in Woodinville, WA — Best of Ireland in 14 Days

"There are so many 'WOWs' and fabulous memories, but it was pretty amazing to arrive in the Cinque Terre after a bus and train ride to our hotel. My husband and I found our room and opened the window and we are looking out at the Mediterranean Sea! We immediately changed into our swimsuits and were in the water within 10 minutes! And that was just the start...then there was dinner, the hike, dinner again, etc!!"

— Megan in Bothell, WA — Heart of Italy in 9 Days

"Omaha Beach was a powerful, emotional experience for me. My Dad was there in WWII, and I could feel his presence there as I walked on the beaches. I found my cheeks wet with tears as I stood there thinking what it must have been like for him. He always told me he wanted to go back to France and see it 'when it wasn't full of holes.' I never knew what he was talking about until I stood at Point du Hoc and saw the holes created by the big guns and bombs. He did not live long enough to make it back here, but on this trip, I got to do it for him. That was my 'wow' moment and I will never forget it."

"Arriving in Murren, Switzerland was like stepping into a postcard — the beauty was surreal! The lush meadows and cascading waterfalls contrasted by the snow-capped mountains were exquisite. Breath-taking you might say, although that could just have been the altitude! Sharing a European adventure and making memories with our children was magical for my husband and me."

— Lori in Spearfish, SD — Best of Germany, Austria & Switzerland in 14 Days

"One out-of-this-world experience was walking through Plitvice Lakes National Park — a place that makes you believe that fairies and happy, playful spirits are present. I have been to waterfalls and lakes, but nothing compares to the untouched spectacular beauty and serenity of this place. Another beautiful old-world experience was our visit to the island of Rab in Croatia. The cool blue waters of the Adriatic Sea welcomed us and the narrow cobbled alley ways in the ancient city just pulled me into a feeling of stepping into a different world."

— Hazel in Sunrise, FL — Best of Eastern Europe in 17 Days

"It will sound silly, but one of our best memories is walking from the Cluny Museum to Luxembourg Gardens, where we pulled up chairs overlooking the pond, and promptly fell asleep in the sun! It was so beautiful and relaxing! It really seemed like one of those pure 'vacation' moments...all the stress of our normal lives vanished!"

— Lori in Temecula, CA — Best of Paris in 7 Days
