Rick Steves' My Way℠ tours have been taking travelers (most of them non- "tour types") around Europe for a little over a year now. Here are some of their comments...

"The My Way tour format was ideally suited to me. The tour provided the hotels, bus transportation and escort so that I could concentrate on my tour activities at a pace that was comfortable for me. While my tour mates hiked up to Rheinfels Castle in St. Goar, I took the cute little tourist train. While my tour mates hiked around the Alps, I took the trams, trains, buses and boats. I didn't have to eat dinner at 8:00, and could turn in early to rest up for the next day's activities."
