Name that Mystery Image

Each week, Dave Hoerlein, tour guide and map maker for Rick Steves' guidebooks, creates a "mystery image" for the staff here at Rick Steves' Europe Through the Back Door to unearth. We've been having such fun with Dave's quiz that we thought we'd invite you to play along, too. (Come back every month for a new quiz.) This month's special — towers and steeples! Do you know where in the world these photos come from?

1. Is this a photo of:

The Eiffel Tower, specially decorated for a Halloween celebration?

The Fiesta Casino and Lighthouse, found in Cardiff, Wales?

The Blackpool Tower, in northern England, during the Illuminations festival?

The Netherland's least effective windmill, De Molen Blademissin?

2. What is this tower — notable for its trees on top — and where is it found?

It's the Torre Guinigi, found in Lucca, Italy.

It's one of the rampart towers in Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Germany.

It's Torre Grossa, one of the fourteen surviving towers of San Gimignano, Italy.

It's the Torre Chipoutta in Pisa, owned by the overly protective orchard owner Marco Parco.

3. Would you find this view:

Looking across the River Mersey, with Liverpool's Albert Dock behind you?

Waiting for a ferry at the Port of Belfast, in Northern Ireland?

Sailing on the North Sea, looking back at the Port of Rotterdam, the Netherlands?

While nervously waiting for your windsurfing lesson to begin in Newark, New Jersey?

4. Is this image:

Part of the Von Trapp mansion in Salzburg, Austria?

From Hall, Austria, a Back Door town and a strudel's toss from Innsbruck?

Of Kiek in de Kök and Das Gelb Haus in Tallinn, Estonia?

The view from the Alps' lowest mountain, in Switzerland?
