The Pyramid of Chephren, or Khafre (2500 B.C.), is the second-largest of the three famous pyramids at Giza, near Cairo. King Chephren was buried inside, and his likeness survives (vaguely) in the face of the Great Sphinx. With a lion's body, he towers 65 feet high.
